Shotgun enthusiasts can partake in clay pigeon shooting in a riverbed setting. Target shooters can choose ranges which cater for everything from air rifles to elephant guns. Rifles, ammunition and coaching are available, if required.

All sorts of hunting, whether trophy, venison, sport or bow are available. Camera safaris are very welcome.

A wide variety of game and other wild life can be seen either by walking, riding or driving through the countryside. Organised game drives are available.

One can explore the beautiful scenery on horseback. There is even a two day trail through the magnificent Winterberg Mountains.

BEDFORD BRIDGE TOURNAMENT The Bedford Bridge Club is holding their 5th major tournament in 6 years on the weekend : Friday 23rd September to Sunday 25th at the Bedford Club. We are very privileged to have attracted many players from afar. All of the players taking part this year have played in our previous tournaments and there is no doubt that what attracts them back each year is the famed Bedford hospitality, the congenial atmosphere at the Club, and MOSTLY the amazing food provided . ( They all in fact never fail to mention how much they enjoy the gastronomic side of things ) This tournament will , as in the past, be raising funds for ADELAIDE HOSPITAL and BEDFORD RETIREMENT VILLAGE. This tournament has raised VERY significant funds in prior years and the beauty of it is, that much of the funding is from the outside players. WE WISH TO THANK THOSE THAT PROVIDE ACCOMMODATION , THOSE THAT VERY GENEROUSLY PROVIDE EATS, AND THOSE THAT GIVE OF THEIR TIME TO MAKE THIS TOURNAMENT THE SUCCESS EACH YEAR. This event has now firmly established itself, and is hugely reliant on the community's support, and for this we thank you again in advance for the forthcoming weekend.
