About Cavers Country Guest House
Approached down a curving avenue of ancient oaks, this peaceful oasis with huge trees, sweeping lawns and a riot of roses frames a blue-chip guesthouse and a gracious family home. Windows in the various garden ‘rooms’ invite the eye outwards towards the mountains and sky. Space to unwind and dream: grand scale is part of the lingering impression.
We believe Vita Sackville-West would be proud of the white garden ‘room’ at Cavers. It was established by Ken’s mother, inspired by Vita’s iconic white garden at Sissinghurst Castle (UK). The white garden seems to get better than ever each spring. But it isn’t all white. Rozanne has a very special and subtle touch with colour gradations. The visitor who looks closely will be rewarded with interesting ideas. Rozanne has maintained the underlying ‘bone-structure’ of the original garden while allowing it to evolve in response to the changing needs of the family - grandchildren are now frequent visitors.
Tea, coffee and set-menu lunch is available
Plants are for sale during the Garden Festival.
