Bedford Gardens Map

Start your day at inspiring Maasström (our ‘mother’ garden: the village was established in the 1840s on a portion of this farm)(Garden assistants will offer their plants for sale.)

Then make your way to the SA Rosarium, a tranquil woodland garden and haven for a national collection of old roses. (Roses and other plants for sale at both these gardens)

Your next stop could be Cradock Street where you’ll find The Long Garden, designed by Franchesca Watson and featuring a meandering lawned path leading from formal plantings to a savannah area. (Plants for sale.)

Across the main street at Homeground garden fair (Duke of Bedford Inn) you can stroll round the raised beds of the Chef’s Garden

Pop in to see the flowers and quilts in the Presbyterian Church then make your way to Porter Street, where two of our permanent nurseries are waiting to welcome you: Lloydii Succulents and Cambrian Fuchsias.

At this stage you should be ready for tea at Eagle Hout Padstal before you walk around the Upcycled Garden – an extensive new project with a strong emphasis on edible gardening and recycling materials.

Ask at Eagle Hout if you have any questions about our Township Garden Route before you set out to visit the proud people who have created these small beacons of optimism in a tough environment. Your visit will be a source of inestimable pleasure and affirmation to our township gardeners.

Easy to find in Adelaide, the garden at Triangle B&B is a stylish shady green spot with roses and striking hard landscaping features.
